It took me several tried to get this one so I liked it. I found I wanted the bird in focus, sharp and identifiable, but I didn’t want the stone wall to have the same sharp photorealism.
I found myself asking for adjustments to the foreground and background, wanting a dynamic painting that truly highlighted the bird.
I think the difference between the more photorealistic first attempt, and the more illustrative, bolder final sticker really shows.
