This view of the gate for the Shinto Shrine, with a wood plaque with Kanji on it in the foreground felt like it captured the feel of the sight — both the architecture and “not in America” when I took the photo.
For my journal sticker I wanted to feed into that traditional feel, have a pop of color, and embrace the connections to nature.
