Sunset as we sailed in Nova Scotia was an amazing mix of colors, made more magnificent by the darkness, but that was part of why I particularly wanted an image from this series as a painting for my journal. Something to lose the pixelation in the brushstrokes, and draw out the colors that were so vibrant and popping against the darkness of the coming night.
The painting is from a different photo, but it is easy to see in the colors reflected in the water particularly, that they are from the same series.
